SEW MOVIGEAR®
MOVIGEAR® is SEW-EURODRIVE’s answer to an innovative, decentralized mechatronic drive system. This system sets itself apart through its excellent net-working features, supports independent monitoring and maintenance tasks and helps to reduce startup times.
With MOVIGEAR® , the mechatronic drive system for horizontal materials handling technology can be raised to to entirely new standards of efficiency and functionality. Many horizontal materials handling applications require a higher torque during the startup phase to overcome static friction, to loosen dirt and sticky residue, and to distribute lubrication where necessary.
MOVIGEAR® provides a starting torque that is 3 to 4 times higher than continuos torque, so the power required to drive the system can be reduced significantly. By integrating all working and electronic components into one housing a compact construction is achieved which makes it ideal for efficiently designed materials handling systems. MOVIGEAR® reduces installation by 20 - 25% compared to conventional decentralised solutions.

Festo DNCI or DGCI with CMAX
The CPX-CMAX-C1-1 axis controller is intended exclusively for use in Festo CPX terminals for installation in a machine or an automation system. In connection with a CPX terminal with suitable CPX bus nodes or CPX-FEC, as well as with enabled drives with a displacement encoder as well as a VPWP proportional directional control valve, CMAX serves as a position controller with position and force control for pneumatic drives.
The CMAX axis controller, together with a VPWP proportional directional control valve and a drive with a position measuring system, forms a positioning system for pneumatic axes. The positioning system permits:
* Travel at selectable speed in any positions (position control)
* The approach of a position and applying a defined force (force control).
