1. A safety stop can be wired directly to the X17 terminal on the MDX instead of the old conventional method via a contactor. Some electronics functions in the drive are kept alive for diagnosis.
2. Copies of parameters can be backed up on the keypad and it does have a lock function which can help avoid sticky fingers.
3. MDX61B has got two sets of parameters. This means you can run two motors with different settings, bUT one at a time. Multi-axes are required.
4. The MDX has a got a "HOLDING" function that can be used to generate 100% TORQUE at zero speed. This is used for keeping a position without needing to apply the mechanical brake.
5. Depending on the application, an energy saving mode can be activated on a MOVIDRIVE for efficiency.
